NXY
NXY is an analytical
tool which allows you to shorten your URLs and track down the click streams on
the shortened links. The shortened URLs are usually shared in the social
networking platforms where the network responds to the shared link by clicking
on it.
NXY is a packaged
application that allows user to create community which can be used to promote
your domain. This feature is being mentioned as the Corporate Account. More
will be described in this document.
Two
Modes of NXY.IN
There are three types of
user in the NXY.IN :
1. A
Public User
2. A
Single User and
3. A
Corporate User
Public
User
Public users have less
access to the total functions of the NXY. They can only shortened the URL and
Lengthen the short URL. Every URL shortened are not unique to the user and all
the same URL will have the same short URL. This is the case of public user.
Because, the user does
not own the URL, he/she will have no access to view his shortened URL. But if
he remembers his shortened key then he/she can see the statistics of the URL.
In short, the user has to shared the shortened URL with other public users.
Normal
User
In a single user mode,
each individuals has a personalized account, where he/she can shorten the URL
and track down the details of click and the sources of clicks. It’s a complete
analytics package for a user. In order to use this mode, the user has to have
Twitter account. Currently, NXY allows user to log in through Twitter ID, which
may change in future according to the trend.
Corporate
User
Corporate User mode is
more of a managerial role. In this mode, user (manager) can invite other NXY users to join the group. The group is
signified by your account name. After inviting the user, the user has an option
to either accept or reject the invitation. One a user accepts your invitation,
you can assign a domain name to the user (marketer),
which he/she will have the right to accept or reject.
After being assigned
the domain, the marketer will start sharing the content from that domain by
shortening them through NXY. On the other side, the manager can track down
statistics of his/her domain and compare
the result with the result from the individual marketers. This allows manager
to decide the efficient marketer and plan his marketing campaign.
Let’s move one on one
with the command, features and interface.
NXY
Public Page (The Home Page)
The home page has 4
parts to it:
1. URL
Shorten and Expand functions

User can enter the long URL and get
the short URL and vice versa with the expand functions. The system will fire
error if it finds invalid URL.
What is Show Ad?
Each URL by default opens in a
frame. This frame contains the Advertisement (like Image Ads or Google Ads) on
it. User are given complete right to disable the Ad. Because the user is in
public mode, he/she will not be able to benefit from the Ad.
2. List
of Popular articles being shortened in NXY (by today, last week, last month and
all time)

Each article is listed with respect
to popularity. Each link can be shared in the social book marking sites or you
can view the total Statistics of the URL, from clicks to Referral. More on the
statistics page.
3. List
of Top marketers using NXY (by today, last week, last month and all time)

You can view the brief detail of
marketers with number of URL shortened to the page views and unique page views.
You can also view the profile of the user (Twitter Profile) by clicking on it.
4. List
of top domains being shortened in NXY (by today, last week, last month and all
time)

The top domains are listed in
similar ways to top marketers. You can view the total links from the domain and
the unique views.
Basic URL analytics of shorten URL
The
analytics part of the NXY is very important that will give you the insights
into the clicks made on the shortened links. Currently, NXY has five details:
1.
Date Range

User
can change the date range of the statistics. The system will give error in case
of invalid range
2.
Day Wise Distribution

Day
wise distribution gives the page views and unique page views over the period of
time.
3.
Hourly Distribution

Hourly
distribution shows the total page views distribution over the period of hours.
4.
Referral Details

Referral
Details shows the Traffic percentage of the page views depending upon the
origin of the shorten links. This detail can be used to check the efficiency of
your channel.
5.
Browser Details

This
shows the Browser detail of the platform where the link was opened.
6.
Similar URLs

This
shows you the list of user who have shorten the same URL. The details also
provide you the page views and unique visits.
Normal
User Mode
Just click on the TOP right button “Login with
Twitter” to use the Normal User mode. The system will ask for the Twitter OAuth
authentication. Normal User can has all the facility of the Public User.
The main component of the Normal Users are:
1. Shorten/Expand
panel
It’s
similar to the public Shorten/Expand URL. But the URL shortened through Normal
User platform gives an unique short URL for the long URL. The short URL is
personal to User and hold the key to the personal ID, which can be used to
track down the User who created the short URL.
But
in case of Public URL, it’s not possible because there is no user reference.
2. User
dashboard
This
is the dashboard which contains the overall detail of the users activity in the
NXY. Discussed in detail later parts.
3. My
URL section

My
URL contains all the URL shortened by the user along with their clock details.
For more URL analytics you have to click on Details.
4. Ad
Settings (Accessed on Top right Menu bar)
The
Ad set in this section appears in the opening frame which is also known as the
landing page optimization.
There
are two type Ad configuration.
1.
Google Ads

In this section, you simply need to fill
the Google Ad sense details, your publisher ID and slot ID. Refere to Google Ad
Sense detail for more information.
2.
Image Ads

Image Ads are your customized Ad
setting, where you can put 468 x 60 size image and give your own title to it.
You can also mention the link to the image.
What
is Display Profile?
If you want your twitter handle to appear in the
frame, check this box, else un check it.
5. Frame
Settings (Accessed on Top right Menu bar)
There
might be many domains which you might want to open without frame. This section
allows you to list down the domains and URLs which you want to explicitly open
without frame.

Simply
add the domain or URl on the text box and hit the submit button.
6. Profile
Management (Accessed on Top right Menu bar)
This
simply provides the details of your Twitter ID.
7. Provider
Section (Accessed on Top right Menu bar)
This
is the section which joins the Normal user with the corporate user. This shows
the list corporate users (company)
who have invited you to join their group, it shows the reject/ accepted users.

Incoming
: New Initiations
Current
: Associated Relations (You can click on reject to void the relationship)
Rejected
: Rejected Invitations

View
Domains : This will show the associated domains with the Company that you are
responsible for marketing.
Corporate
User Mode
Unlike in Normal User mode, the user is not obliged
to have a Twitter ID. The users are required to register creating their own
username and password.

Once the registration process, you can login the
account.

The NXY Corporate Section can be described in three
simple steps.

Corporate Account allows you to :

2. Invite
them to your group
3. Track
your teams performance
Corporate Users have
five control panels to play with :
1. Company
Dashboard
The
company dashboard is similar to normal user’s dashboard. It contains the total
URL associated with the company and their click details.
The
click details are distributed by days and hours.
2. Marketer’s
Dashboard
It
shows the current associated marketers, invited marketers and rejected
marketers.

This
section shows the total marketers in association with the company and their
performance with respect to URLS created and Click details.
You
can click on the remove marketer to remove the marketers.
Viewing User and Domain Detail
If
you want to view the analytics of the individual domain and Marketers then
click on the domain name and the marketers. You can also access them on your
right hand bar.
What happen if I click on the View
Domain?
Clicking
on View Domain will show you the total domain associated with the marketers. From
here you can send new domain request.

Section

This
section allows you to search marketers through their twitter handle to see if
they are using NXY or not. They are listed if they are found.
Eg:
“bexdeep”
is already accepted hence you can do nothing but in the other example here,
“leplan” is not invited hence you can invite the user.

The
invitation process is very simple, when you click on the Invite Option you are
given a simple mail interface, type in your message and Invite.

This
is the section where you can edit your companies profile:
